Bob Schaller’s book, Never stop Pushing, from Avalon, was selected
by the CBS Early Show as a “Top Summer Read.”
Fall 2006: With a student-evaluation average of
4.79 on a scale of 5.0, Schaller was the among the highest rated
instructors in Arts and Sciences at the University of Wyoming,
despite a two-class mean of 73.4 percent.
Spring 2007: With an evaluation of 4.81, Schaller
was for the second semester in a row among the highest rated
instructors in Arts and Sciences at the University of Wyoming.

Fifteen years as editor/writer/copy editor at three daily
newspapers, including 10 as editor (managing editor or sports

news sites, including: Skating, Splash Magazine, USA Gymnastics and
USA Hockey Magazine.
Reporter,
Barstow (Calif.) Desert Dispatch (covered school board, city
government, court beats) (1988-1989). Covered education beat during
transition in city’s development as families with kids who were in
gangs moved from Los Angeles to Barstow to “escape” the gang
culture. This of course brought an entire new issue to Barstow’s
community.
Copy editor/Associate section editor,
Antelope Valley (Calif.) Daily Press (1989-1991). First six
months served as news copy editor before taking over as associate
sports editor, where I assigned story coverage for a staff of eight,
managed the sports copy desk and laid out the section and edited all
copy and wrote headlines five nights per week.

at Scottsbluff (Neb.) Star-Herald, 1991-1997. Managed staff,
produced story coverage and assignments, laid out pages and wrote
headlines and cutlines. Edited copy nightly, encouraged and
